About Strong Start

Strong Start® Charitable Organization is a registered Canadian charity that helps children learn to read. We have received additional funding to rapidly accelerate our reach through partnerships with school boards, schools, educators, volunteers and community stakeholders to help address the children’s literacy crisis caused by the pandemic.

Our Literacy Campaign Goal

Our goal is to bring our Letters, Sounds and Words learn-to-read program to 750 more schools in Ontario in 750 days. If you think your school(s) would benefit from this exciting opportunity, connect with us below!

Volunteer Hours

The Strong Start program is beneficial for our students because it builds their self-confidence. You can see it as they smile when their volunteer comes and picks them up from their classroom. They are skipping down the hallway and ready for that learning.
